San Antonio Newborn Photographer | Meet Atleigh

I had the opportunity photograph another sweet newborn here in San Antonio. What a special treat it was to capture sweet Atleigh Marie Rademacher! She is one lucky little girl to be a part of such a fun family. Her parents, Shaunay and Adam, are two of the most relaxed and funny people I have had the privilege of getting to know. For their maternity shoot they said they were “up for anything” and wanted something outside of the box and this was also what they were looking for with the newborn shoot! Of course we had to capture this sweet girl in all her beautiful glory on her own…simple and sweet. But, we also had a lot of fun using some new ideas, changing up the background and even using a pop of color that incorporated some fun fabric that Shaunay bought for her stunning nursery! Usually the key to getting amazingly stunning shots of newborns is to have them asleep, but that was just not our luck… Atleigh knew that this was her special photo shoot and she wasn’t going to miss a minute of it no matter what her mommy and daddy did!!! In the end we got everything we could of dreamed of from Atleigh…she is a precious angel!!!

Adam and Shaunay- congratulations to you both on your darling little girl! She already had us all laughing and smiling so I think she is going to fit in just fine with the Rademacher Family!

Being a San Antonio newborn photographer is always such a joy especially when I get the opportunity to capture little angels like Madison Riley. She was such a lovely newborn to shoot…what a absolutely beautiful little girl with SO much hair! She was a perfect little baby model which is really fun because we got a chance to move her around a bunch and try a lot of different poses and props. All of the little delicate headbands looked so sweet on her with all her hair! I know the family was looking to capture this very special time in their lives and get images that they can have to look back on to remember. One of my favorites that we captured is where baby Madison is holding her little hands against her cheeks like she is surprised!!! I love seeing her tiny little hands and fingers…so precious! With the addition of sweet Madison this lovely family of two has become a trio and they simply couldn’t be happier. With the family pictures that we captured I am drawn to the black and white images. They just really seem to capture the overall mood of love and joy that was very evident between this family. Big congrats go out to this lovely family!

Could this family and these boys be any sweeter! I love it so much when boys are dressed like little men and these handsome little guys definitely did not disappoint. Their outfits were just priceless…I couldn’t get enough of the fedora hat paired with a vest and tie! In preparation for the shoot I asked the Banek Family what the main reason for scheduling the session was and they said that they wanted to capture their boys spirit and sweetness! They specifically mentioned that it hurts their heart to know that their boys won’t remain babies forever and they wanted to capture the small hands and feet, and rosy cheeks while they could. They wanted beautiful memories of their little guys knowing that it all flies by way too fast! I completely understand the feeling and know all too well how often I wish I could just hit the pause button, but love to see the growth and changes at the same time. You could certainly feel the love in this family and it was an honor to help you capture some very special memories that you will hopefully cherish for years to come. For this shoot we really let the family be the star of the shoot and kept things simple and lovely like I love to do. One of my favorite pictures that I captured was of big brother, Brenden, giving little brother, Colten, a big hug. It really does just melt any mom’s heart to see sibling love!

San Antonio Senior Photographer | Meet the Kelley Girls!

What a fun session this was with some amazing gorgeous girls! These three are sisters and just about as cute as they can be! The older two are in college and attending Kansas State University and the youngest is an 8th grader in Boerne. They all had such great smiles and I loved the ones of them interacting with each other!

We decided to do the session up at their home in Estancia in Boerne! They have a gorgeous home with beautiful views of the hill country all around them. Their outfits were super cute and the setting could not have been any better {although we could have done without the wind!} We started out in the back of the house near their pool and gorgeous back deck and then moved to the front of the house which was just as pretty!

Thank you for allowing me to capture these sweet memories for you guys! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! I loved the way your holiday card turned out too–you guys make my job too easy! To you older girls, enjoy your last few years of college and to the younger one I hope you have a blast in high school next year! Keep in touch!

San Antonio Photographer | The cousins…

I had the opportunity to photograph these sweet cousins out in Boerne over the holidays! They are too cute together and I had such a great time out at their grandma’s house! They are expecting cousin number 5 to arrive next summer and of course grandma is hoping for a little girl but another boy would fit right in with this group! Two of the boys live in Denver, Colorado and the other two live here in San Antonio. It just so happens that one of these cousins (the really blonde one) is my 8 year olds best best bud! Those two are such good buddies and have so much fun together! Also, their sweet grandma helps watch my little SB while I am working so we really feel like this family is just an extension of our own! Thank you for having me out to capture these sweet little guys! I look forward to meeting number 5 in the future! Love you guys!

For those of you who have discovered Amorcitos here in San Antonio you know that they have some of the best food and margaritas in town! I LOVE going there and we are frequent visitors because the food is just so good! If you have never gone there you must go check it out! They have some of the best ceviche I have ever had!

The Renteria Family owns the amazing restaurant and I had the opportunity to photograph their sweet little family just before the holidays. They truly are a gorgeous family and the kiddos are striking! I love how Mendy coordinated the outfits and the session turned out exactly as planned! We met in the afternoon and were able to get some great shots of the four of them (it’s amazing how easy it is to photograph older kids that do exactly what you tell them to do)! We were also able to get some great individual images of the kids and of course some of mom and dad together!

The chose a fabulous holiday card to go along with their session as well as a gorgeous coffee table book to display their images. Thank you Renteria’s for allowing me to capture your sweet family! I loved the session and hope you cherish these image for many many years!

San Antonio Senior Photographer | River City Believers Academy

Every year I have the opportunity to photograph the senior class at River City Believers Academy and I LOVE it! We spend the morning photographing their little class of seniors and then they get the day to play! I look forward to this session every year and we are always trying to do something a little different than previous years! This year we decided it would be fun to use an old vintage ladder to layer everyone on and it turned out fabulous! They chose to color coordinate and it turned out perfectly! We placed their petit one (precious Janie) on the top–which was an easy spot for her! Super cute!

After the ladder shots we moved onto to individuals of each senior. We had a lot of different backdrops to choose from in our location and I loved how they turned out. This was a really fun group! We did both casual and formal as well as a cap and gown shot as well! It was so fun!

Towards the end of the shoot, the seniors put on their 2012 senior t-shirts and got some more fun shots! I love how the one of them all leaning on the old fence turned out!

To the RCBA Class of 2012….thank you for allowing me to photograph your senior portraits. I wish you all the best of luck in your last semester and whatever future endeavors you choose! Keep in touch!

Every year I get the opportunity to do a family session with the sweet Salling family! I have been photographing them since Jenna was one and she is now in Kindergarten! The girls have grown up so quickly and I have loved photographing them as they change each year! Little Jenna was a little ham this year–she was posing up a storm, tilting her head, crossing her ankles and sticking out those hips–it was TOO cute! Sweet little Julia was adorable herself! We said a few key words and she started to giggle up a storm! I love her sweet little smile and her boots were too cute! You can tell these two sisters love each other and have a special bond! They were having a blast together and did a great job of making each other laugh! Although mom and dad are busy with these two little ones, you can tell they feel so blessed! They have the perfect little family and I love how these turned out for them. They had a gorgeous holiday card as usual! Thank you Salling family for allowing me to capture your sweet family once again! I am looking forward to daddy’s fun ideas for an urban family shoot in 2012!!! That will be fun!

San Antonio Newborn Photographer | Meet Corbin

Wow–I love my job! This was the sweetest little family and little Corbin Hill was an angel for the session! The Hill family just grew this month as they added a sweet little addition! Emily and Andy have were so cute with little Corbin and acted like they had done this a number of times before even though Corbin is their first! In their interview they informed me that they love different textures and had a few funky hats they wanted to use during the session. They showed up with this crazy cookie monster hat that was hilarious on top of his head! It took up his entire head with hair flying everywhere! For those of you who know my style, of course we did the simple, sweet organic newborn look that I love as well. I truly believe less is more when it comes to photographing newborns! They are so tiny and only look like that once–so it is my goal to capture just them (although it is fun to throw a crazy hat on every once in a while!) We also put one of their santa hats on him since he was born so close to Christmas!

Emily and Andy–congratulations to you on your newest addition. He is a gorgeous little man–I cannot wait to watch him grow in 2012! You are such great parents already–what a lucky guy!

San Antonio Maternity Photographer

I love it when I receive the client interview and they say “We love to step outside the box and do something different!” This sweet couple loves to step outside the box and we tried to create a fun and unique maternity session for them to meet those needs! I loved using this pink cruiser bike since they are expecting a little girl in January! It fit them perfectly and we had so much fun with it not only in the field but also in the funky old alleys! We even shot a few with sweet Shaunay in the drivers seat and Adam up on the handle bars! I also had my new creative team design a couple of fun props! The “Rademacher Makers” was kind of an inside joke with their circle of friends as they were “MAKING” a Rademacher! Then the little Atleigh sign out of yarn–how fun is that??? I love all the names they were deciding between and Atleigh is just precious! They were so cute as they told the story of how the name came about!

Shaunay and Adam, thank you for allowing me to capture this special time your life! I cannot wait to meet little Atleigh very very soon! I know you are on the final stretch and are anxiously anticipating her arrival! I hope you cherish these fun maternity photos for many many years!
