Alexandra was such a joy to photograph and she was so casual and relaxed in front of the camera. Alexandra is planning on attending Abilene Christian University in the fall and studying Psychology and hopes to become a Clinical Psychologist in the future. She is a girl with a plan but she also has artsy interests…she is a girl after my own heart because she has an interest in photography so she knew exactly what she was looking for when it came to her shoot. She wanted casual, outdoor photos and I really LOVE what we got together. For this particular shoot I think the black and white images are my top picks. There is just so much emotion in Alexandra’s eyes and I really think it comes through in the B&W. As always, though, it is hard to pick just a few because I really loved them all! I also really liked the pic of her leaning on the split rail fence…this pic had such and ease and casual feel that speaks to me. I love it when my clients truly shine through and with all of these pics I feel like I am truly seeing Alexandra.

Photographing this beauty was a true joy! Could this girl be any more cute??? I think not! I may be a little biased because Kayla is a family friend and has actually babysat for my boys since they were little so I have had the pleasure of watching her grow up and grow into such a beautiful and lovely young lady. Photographing her for her senior pictures was fantastic and I loved every second of. I also really, really love all the pictures that we got! We played a little with the style of the pictures…keeping some super simple and classic, some with a fun Texas country flair and then doing a few a little more edgy with a hippie look. It goes without saying that this unbelievable beauty rocked every look and is an absolute natural behind the camera. I think my absolute favorites from this shoot are the edgy, hippie looks where Kayla is rocking the fun headbands…these pictures look like they could be plucked right out of a magazine. Maybe an Anthropologie catalog!!! LOVE this look.

I can hardly believe that Kayla is going to be moving on from high school days, but I know she enjoyed her time at Reagan High School and for her the future is bright! Wishing you nothing but happiness!

Mikayla!!!! Such an awesome shoot for such a super awesome girl! Mikayla describes herself as a girlie girl but also someone that is into the whole country Texas scene too! For her shoot we played around with some different looks and had a really great time doing it. She knew she wanted some pictures with our funky red chair in the field with a more country look which I think turned out stunning but she was also looking for some simply beautiful pictures of herself and with a natural beauty like this it sure wasn’t hard at all!!! She worked with our in house stylist to pull everything together and as always it really made the shoot a success! I love the pics of Mikayla wearing the earthy crocheted headband but I also really like the simple and classic black and white close up too! I also really love the bright turquoise and coral dresses that she wore too…they really popped in the pictures and are a both fun and flirty pics.

Mikayla is excited to graduate and even more excited to be accepted to Texas A&M University Corpus Christi and finding her future passion. She is looking to find a job that she is proud of and enjoys and I hope she finds exactly that. Sometimes it is hard to find our way but if you follow your heart and your dreams you will be sure to be happy! It took me a while to find my dream job, but I can honestly say that being a photographer is what I am meant to do and I get such joy out of working with my clients (especially my seniors!!!).

It has been about a year since I had to opportunity to meet and work with the talented Cassandra Gresham and I couldn’t be happier with her addition to my team. We started working together just before Christmas in 2011…I was looking for some vintage looking burlap banners for my holiday sessions and because I waited to the last minute (I really do this many more times then I like to admit!) I could no longer order them online and receive them in time so I was in a pinch.  A friend of mine suggested that Cassandra could do it and just like that our connection and friendship was made. Not only did Cassandra make me the most adorable burlap banners for my holiday session but she also came to help me set up my holiday sessions! Since then she has continued to add touches here and there and really has brought a little something special to my shoots. I certainly am not a photographer that wants any of my shoots to appear overly staged or prop-filled which is why I think Cassandra is such a gem…she understands my look/style perfectly and has a wonderful ability to edit and simplify when needed.

Below I am going to highlight some of her work that she has done for me that I LOVE! Many of the pieces that Cassandra has made for me we have decided to sell on my shop page….please check it out and you could also elevate your images by adding some of her special touches. Sometimes I feel like I repeat myself about all the wonderful families that I have the honor of getting to know through my fantastic job, but honestly it is one of the best perks! I first got the chance to to meet the Shuel Family when I took senior pics of their lovely daughter Becca, but this was my first chance to get to know all of them better. The Shuel Family is such a loving and fun family and I truly had such a great time capturing all these beautiful images for them. For this shoot we had some challenges because we were trying to capture some family shots of all NINE of them!!! Yes I said nine!!! Getting great family shots can always be challenging when you are dealing with little ones but with this wonderfully photogenic bunch it really wasn’t hard at all! In addition to the large family shots that we captured we also got some lovely ones of the beautiful sisters, a picture of their parents that I personally LOVE and a stunning picture of sweet Rylee that simply melts my heart! My expectation for large family shoots as with all of my shoots is to focus on keeping things looking casual and not over posed and just letting the subjects shine…I think we definitely got some amazing pics and I hope you all agree too!

I always feel blessed when my seniors travel to come experience a session with us here at NTP!  With Senior Season truly in full swing I have been super blessed with some amazing shoots and Addison was certainly one of my favs!!! This girl is so beautiful on the inside and out and I was just so delighted to capture all of these fantastic images. Addison has plans to become a nurse in the future and hopes to focus on working with children because she has always loved kids and enjoys spending time with them…didn’t I tell you she was beautiful on the inside! In addition to her big heart she is also a very well rounded girl that enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hanging out at the beach, playing softball and dancing and even showing pigs!!! For this shoot Addison was looking for a mixture of black and white images and color. When looking back at the images that we captured I am totally in LOVE with the black and white images…they are so timeless and really show off Addison’s stunning beauty! I also really love the softness of the image where Addison is laughing because I think this one captures her personality perfectly!

Addison has plans in the fall to start Coastal Bend College and pursue her nursing career. I want to wish you all the best in all your future endeavors and nothing but happiness along the way!

Photographing Emily was super fun…she is such a stylish, sweet girl!!! Emily loves playing soccer but also really enjoys fashion and spending time with her friends. Whenever I am getting ready for a shoot I always take a little time to get to know my client and make sure I know what they are looking for. Emily told me that she was really looking for an overall rustic feel in her photos and that she wanted to play a lot with her outfits selections! In addition to this I also learned that Emily loves helping others and has been a part of several mission trips and is very involved with her church. This girl is beautiful on the inside and out! For this particular shoot we didn’t over complicate things with any props at all…we just let Emily shine in a few different fun locations! One of my absolute favorite pics is the close up of this pretty girl with the fun beaded headband. Here eyes are simply amazing in that pic!!!

Emily is girl that has big dreams and an even bigger heart and I wish you all the best in all your future endeavors! With the kind of drive and dedication that this girl has I have no doubt that all her dreams will come true!

Photographing newborns isn’t always easy but Brooke was one of the sweetest little newborns that I have had the chance to photograph and I was so truly honored to get the opportunity to capture these images for such a wonderful family. This photo session was a very special session because it was a gift from the a family member all the way in Seattle…She called me and let me know that after some internet searching she came across my pictures and wanted to gift a session with me as a gift for her niece. It was such a truly sweet and loving gift and I was just pleased to be a part of this special gesture. Like we do for all of our newborn shoots at NTP we kept things simple and delicate. She is such a sweet little darling that we really just want her to shine and we also really wants the parents to have pictures that they will love to look back on for years to come. I always love to see the little naked bodies and all their adorable little rolls and creases…honestly it never get old!!! One of my favorite pics that we got of Brooke, though, is picture of her in the vintage hat box…she just looks so darling!!! I love the delicate little head piece and her sweet smushed little face. She just looks so content and peaceful…melts my heart!

I am truly delighted that you allowed me to take these pictures of your precious little one and I hope you love them!
